Took a stroll around Stanley and then climbed up ‘ The Nut’ after lunch.

The residents of Stanley take great pride in their town much of the original houses have carefully restored to maintain the character of this fishing port.  Stanley, named after british prime minister Lord Stanley, remains a busy fishing port as well as tourist destination.

We walked up ‘The Nut’, a rise of 143m, via the steep pathway.  There is a chair lift to take you up as well and we came down on the chair.  Great views from the circular walk around the perimeter of the Nut.
