Two days in Melbourne taking in the sights, the sun continued to shine and it was more like summer than autumn.

Our Hotel was centrally based on Bourke street with a tram stop just outside.  The Queen Victoria Market, the largest open air market in the Southern Hemisphere, was a short tram ride, a lot of stalls with merchandise you would see all over the world with a smattering of local crafts/produce.

The congestion and general pace of Melbourne took some getting used to after two weeks in less hectic Tasmania, lots of tourists with selfie sticks.  A trip around the Botanic Gardens was calming as were long lunches and dinner at Italian restraint ‘Emilia’ just off Little Collins street.
